What is Teboa?
Teboa is an AI-powered eCommerce operating system built specifically for Shopify store owners. Most stores run on five or six separate tools that do not talk to each other. Teboa replaces all of them. One platform. Four AI agents. Everything connected.
At its core, Teboa gives you four specialist AI agents, a unified dashboard, and a set of automation tools that handle the operational work while you focus on the business decisions that actually move the needle.
Teboa is built by TeboaTech (Pty) Ltd, a South African technology company. Registration No: 2025/516299/07. The platform is currently in active MVP development with early users onboarding now.
The name Teboa comes from the Sesotho word meaning "to grow." That is the entire mission in one word. Every decision we make, every feature we build, and every agent we train is in service of one outcome: your store grows.

Each AI agent in Teboa owns a specific domain of your store operations. They run continuously, surface insights, and take or draft actions on your behalf. All agents are powered by Claude AI from Anthropic.

Store ManagerAmy monitors your store's day-to-day operations. She tracks revenue, order volume, fulfilment status, and conversion rates. She surfaces revenue leaks, flags underperforming products, and gives you a daily summary of what needs your attention. Think of Amy as your operations manager. always watching, always ready to brief you.
Sino
AutomationsSino builds and manages your automation workflows. He sets up abandoned cart recovery sequences, order confirmation emails, win-back campaigns, and custom trigger-based flows. Once configured, Sino's automations run without intervention. He also monitors automation performance and recommends improvements based on your store's data.
Sessy
Support AgentSessy manages your customer support inbox. She reads incoming tickets, categorises them, drafts a reply for each one, and presents them to you for approval before sending. She handles refund queries, order status questions, product questions, and escalation routing. dramatically reducing the time you spend on support while improving response quality.
JJ
Growth AgentJJ tracks your business goals, OKRs, and KPIs. He monitors progress against targets, identifies which metrics are off track, and tells you what to prioritise each week. JJ turns your growth strategy from a document you wrote once into a live, active system that guides daily decisions. He is the agent that keeps your ambition accountable.
How AI Agents Work
Each agent operates within your isolated workspace. They process data from your connected Shopify store, your automation rules, your support inbox, and your defined OKRs. Agent responses are generated via the Claude AI API and are contextualised to your specific store data. not generic advice.
You interact with agents through the platform's chat interface. Each agent maintains context about your store across conversations, so you do not need to re-explain your situation each time. You can also ask Amy, Sino, Sessy, or JJ questions at any time through the "Ask AI" button in your dashboard.
Dashboard
The Teboa dashboard is your central command centre. It is the first screen you see when you log in, and it is designed to give you a complete picture of your store's health in under 60 seconds.

Teboa's automation engine lets you build trigger-based workflows that run automatically when specific events happen in your store. No coding required.

How Automations Are Built
Sino, your Automations agent, walks you through setting up each workflow inside the platform. You define the trigger condition, the action to take, and any delay or condition rules. Sino handles the configuration and monitors performance once the automation is live.
All automations are visible from the Automation Status widget on your dashboard, showing which are live, how many times they have triggered, and whether any have errors.
Support Inbox
The support inbox consolidates all incoming customer messages into one interface. Every ticket is read by Sessy, your Support agent, who drafts a reply and presents it to you for review before anything is sent.

Shopify Integration
Teboa connects to your Shopify store via Shopify's official OAuth 2.0 integration. This is a read-and-write API integration that gives Teboa access to your store data within the permissions you grant during the connection flow.
What Data Syncs
- Orders. IDs, amounts, statuses, customer details, fulfilment information
- Products. names, SKUs, inventory levels, pricing, collections
- Customers. names, email addresses, order history, tags
- Analytics. revenue, conversion rate, sessions, AOV
- Abandoned checkouts. for automation trigger purposes
Permissions Required
During the Shopify OAuth flow, Teboa requests the following permission scopes:
read_orders. to display and analyse your ordersread_products. to display and analyse your productsread_customers. to display customer data in the inboxread_analytics. to power the dashboard metricswrite_script_tags. to enable automation triggers on your storefront
You can revoke Teboa's access to your store at any time from your Shopify admin under Apps. Revoking access will immediately stop all syncing and automations.

Official Shopify Partner integration via OAuth 2.0. REST and GraphQL APIs used for store data sync and automation triggers.
Billing Provider
Subscription billing handled through a PCI-compliant provider. Card details are never stored on Teboa infrastructure.
Architecture Overview
Teboa follows a multi-tenant SaaS architecture where each business account operates in complete isolation. No business can access or see the data of any other business on the platform.
Workspace Isolation
When you create a Teboa account, a dedicated workspace document is created in Firestore under a unique workspace ID. All your data. store metrics, orders, automations, conversations with AI agents, OKRs. lives under this workspace and is accessible only to users you have granted access to.
Data Flow
- Shopify to Teboa. Store data is synced via webhook listeners and scheduled API pulls. Data is normalised and written to your Firestore workspace.
- User to AI Agent. When you send a message to an agent, the query plus relevant store context is sent to the Claude API. The response is streamed back to your interface.
- Automation Triggers. Trigger conditions are evaluated against incoming Shopify webhook events. When a condition is met, the automation action is executed.
- Dashboard. Dashboard metrics are computed from your workspace data and served in real time to the Next.js frontend via Firestore listeners.
AI Context Management
Each AI agent keeps a live context window built from your store data. Recent metrics, active automations, open support tickets, and your defined OKRs are all passed with every query. The result is answers that are specific to your store, not generic advice you could get from Google.
Your context is scoped entirely to your workspace. It is never shared with other users and is never used to train AI models.
Security and Data
Data Encryption
- All data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.2 or higher
- All data at rest is encrypted by Firebase's default AES-256 encryption
- Authentication tokens are short-lived and refreshed automatically
Access Controls
- Firestore security rules enforce workspace-level access controls
- No cross-workspace data access is possible at the database layer
- TeboaTech staff access to production data is role-gated and audited
